Sandoz Canada is led by a diverse team with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Michel Robidoux has been President and General Manager of Sandoz Canada since 2010. He has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment industries.

Mr. Robidoux began his career in sales and marketing at Bayer, where he worked for seven years. He then spent the next 13 years at Roche working as an executive in the Diabetes Care, Clinical Diagnostics molecular diagnostics and Applied Sciences Divisions. 

He is an active contributor to the Canadian pharmaceutical industry as a member of the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association (CGPA), Chair of Biosimilar Canada and a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Pharmaceutical Supply Management (CAPDM).

Throughout his career, Mr. Robidoux placed the values of integrity, trust, innovation, teamwork and dedication at the heart of his approach to serving key clients such as hospitals, physicians, pharmacists, banners, distributors and governments.

Mr. Robidoux holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Université du Québec in Montreal and has an A.S.C. (certified company administrator) designation from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés of Université Laval.

Under his leadership, Sandoz Canada has become a national leader in the commercialization of generic and biosimilar medicines. For three consecutive years, Sandoz Canada has been recognized as one of Canada’s best employers by the Top Employers Institute and Great Place to Work. In 2021, Sandoz Canada received Mercuriades awards in the Employer of the Year and Women’s Leadership categories.

Ronnie Yun Shao Taormina has been Director, Innovation & Digital and a member of the Sandoz Canada Executive Committee since June 15, 2020. Before joining the team, Ronnie has accumulated more than 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including eight years at Merck and five years at Sandoz US, where she evolved as director on several teams. Her mandate at Sandoz Canada consists of managing the strategic plan, developing the Bio-Generic business approach, managing the business relationship and activities with some partners, in addition to leading other strategic projects and the digital transformation.

Ronnie holds a Bachelor of Science and Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and a finance and marketing MBA from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Claude Dupuis is Vice President Retail, Bio-Generics since November 2, 2020. He leads the team in charge of relations with Retailers and Wholesalers. Claude has been at Sandoz Canada on major accounts and in National Sales since 2009. Before that, he was Director of Consumer Development at Kimberly-Clark for a decade. 
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from HEC, which allowed him to discover different facets of administration, personnel management, product launch and national brand positioning.

Sébastien Ménard is Vice President Generics since November 2, 2020. He leads the Generics Marketing team and the Bio-Generics Commercial Excellence team with his breadth of Generics expertise. Sébastien joined Sandoz Canada in 2018 as Senior Director in Sales, then Marketing, before which he worked as a Sales Director at Apotex and Eli Lilly. 
Sébastien holds a bachelor’s degree from Sherbrooke University in education; which indicates his interest for people’s development.

Jocelyn Binet has been Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel since April 2021. Prior to his current role, he has been Executive Director, Integrity and Compliance since 2018. Member of the Barreau du Québec since 2008, he has accumulated more than 20 years of experience related to the pharmaceutical industry within different organizations. Before joining Sandoz in 2017, he was Director of Inquiries and Syndic at the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec. He also worked as a legal director, corporate secretary and legal consultant at Eli Lilly Canada.

Mark Boehmer is Vice President Business Development, Portfolio & Launch Management since February 2017. He has worked in our industry for more than 25 years and is a pharmacist with hospital and community experience. He was most recently (since 2011) Vice President, Pharmaceutical Procurement, at the Katz Group, where he was responsible for managing the generic program for Rexall Pharmacy and gained a vast experience with Canadian pharmaceutical products.

Prior to Katz, M. Boehmer worked for several well-known pharmaceutical companies, including Merck Frosst Canada, Eli Lilly Canada and Schering Canada, before joining Patheon Inc. as Senior Manager, Pharmaceutical Development Services, in 1996. Over the following 15 years, he held increasingly senior positions with this leading global provider of outsourced drug development and manufacturing.

He holds a BSc (Chemistry) and Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba and an MBA from McMaster University, Michael G. DeGroote School of Business.

Martin Fournier has been Vice-President Finance and CFO since 2015. He is also in charge of business to business relations for Sandoz Canada since 2019. He joined Sandoz in 2006 as Director, Information and Financial Accounting. He has over 17 years of diverse project management experience in the field of accounting and finance, mainly within businesses in the manufacturing sector. Before joining Sandoz, he held various positions in accounting firms at the auditing and consulting levels, most recently at Deloitte as Senior Director, Management and Technology Consulting.

Mr. Fournier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, B.B.A., from Hautes Études Commerciales Montréal. He is also a member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec.

Mauricio Ede is the Chief Medical & Scientific Officer and has been working for Sandoz Canada since February 2019. Cardiovascular surgeon and PhD in Physiology, Mauricio has more than 20 years of experience in health care in Canada and the United States. He has led scientific and regulatory teams in several pharmaceutical companies, including Merck Canada, Baxter and Abbott. He has lent his medical expertise and leadership to numerous product launches approved by regulatory authorities, including Health Canada, as well as to successful reimbursement efforts in Canadian provinces. He has also authored numerous scientific publications, mainly in the field of cardiovascular surgery.

Geneviève Giguère has held the position of Vice President, Supply Chain since March 2016. Prior to this role, Geneviève was responsible for managing external partners and new product launches. She previously was responsible for the company’s strategic projects and oversaw its business planning process.

Before she joined Sandoz, she was a director at Deloitte Consulting specializing in the healthcare industry, where she worked on operational strategy, performance, procurement and logistics management, service centralization, and management software implementation.

Genevieve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, as well as an Executive MBA from Concordia University.

Karine Matteau leads Sandoz Canada Hospital and Physician Channels for generic and biosimilar medicines as well as the growth of its portfolio of biosimilar products in several therapeutic areas through commercial and market access strategies. She is an active member of the Board of Directors of both the Canadian Biosimilars Forum and Biosimilars Canada / CGPA.

Ms. Matteau has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in strategic commercial positions. She joined Novartis in 2007 and over the last 13 years, she has successfully filled various commercial roles in a number of general medicine and specialty divisions, notably within the Novartis Oncology division. Prior to Novartis, she held various commercial positions at Sanofi-Aventis Canada, mainly in CV and Metabolism/Diabetes. 

Karine Matteau’s academic background includes an MBA from HEC Montréal and a Bachelor of Science from McGill University.

Marc St-Pierre holds the position of Vice President, People & Organization. His main responsibilities are to oversee the design and implementation of innovative programs focused on energy, development and job satisfaction in order to attract and retain the best talent, while ensuring policy alignment. He also leads the Communications team, which develops and implements communications plans intended for internal and external audiences in order to promote the reputation of Sandoz as a choice employer and industry leader in Canada.

Having joined Sandoz (previously Sabex) in 1997, Mr. St-Pierre has over 25 years' experience in the field of human resources management. He has previously held several management positions in industry-leading companies, more specifically in the publishing/direct mail business (with Reader's Digest) as well as telecommunications (with Canadian Marconi Company).

Mr. St-Pierre holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from the Université du Québec en Outaouais and is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CHRP).

Marie-Claude Hudon has been Executive Director, Ethics, Risk and Compliance since August 2021. A lawyer and member of the Barreau du Québec, Marie-Claude has more than 20 years of experience with multinational GlaxoSmithKline, where she rose through the ranks to serve as Ethics and Compliance Manager for the last six years.

Marie-Claude is very involved in her field; she presented at recent events organized by the Canadian Bar Association and at the Association of Corporate Counsel, Quebec Chapter, to share her expertise.

Marie-Claude holds a postgraduate diploma in Health Law and Policies, a postgraduate diploma in Biomedical Ethics, a graduate diploma in Bioethics, and a Bachelor’s in Law.
