Health Canada, in collaboration with the CPhA, is recommending that pharmacists in Canada limit the dispensing of these products as much as possible in order to conserve supply throughout the shortage and to guard against potential stockpiling.

Patients, pharmacies and wholesalers should retain all products, even if they have expired (less than one year ago). Health Canada is working closely with manufacturers on mitigation strategies.
